Castaway Lake 2

Set in the beautiful French countryside. 11 acres in size and nestled amongst fields and forest sits Castaway Lake 2.

If you enjoy wildlife, peace and quiet, then this is your dream lake. We have decided to give you a choice on this lake, as we know that there are a lot of anglers who prefer to use their own equipment, so if you prefer to bring and use your own bivvy etc then you can, or alternatively you can hire it all from us.

The lake has two double swims, one single and one treble swim, which are
within walking distance of the 2 caravans.

We introduced to the original stock in the lake 4 tonne of common and mirror carp to 50lb+ and catfish to just over 100lb for our  2006 season and another 50 carp ranging from 18lbs to 30lbs and 50 catfish between 20lbs and 85lbs for our 2007season. Facilities

For your comfort whilst fishing, we have put on site two 19ft long, caravans which both have toilet/shower room, fridge, and cooker, hot and cold water.

These are for the use of all anglers on the lake and are included in the price.

For hire

• Bivvy, chair, bed chair, bivvy table.
• 3 carp rods and bait runner reels, buzzers, pods landing net, unhooking mat, weighing scales and sling Etc.
• 2 burner cooker with gas.

Location

Although you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, in fact only 5 minutes away by car you have the village of Jarnages where there is a bakers, small supermarket, bars and hotel/restaurant, or again the main town of Gueret is 15 minutes along the motorway by car and has a good range of shops, supermarkets, banks etc.
