Here at Castaway Lake the 2008 season has really got off to a good start on all 3 lakes.

As you can see if you take a few minutes to browse the gallery page, a good number of carp and catfish have been caught and all in very nice condition.

The largest this season.

Mirrors

46lb 5oz, 44lb 2oz, 43lb 12oz, 43lb 4oz and several between 40 and 43lb.

The 46lb 5oz mirror was caught by Craig Peters who's party had a total of 228 fish between 4 of them.

Common

41lb 4oz This fish had never been caught before.

Catfish

120lb, also a nice number between the 60 to 80lb mark.

The Catfish have been really feeding well between the three lakes with a number of the larger cats being caught.

One in particular being the 120lb caught on Lake 3 by Dave Fiske (who has been coming to our lakes every year since we opened). He caught this on a live bait over a bed of pellets. I think you can see from the photo he was overjoyed with this monster, although he did find it somewhat difficult to hold!
